The Interdisciplinary Center for Studies in Palliative Care (CIECP), linked to the School of Nursing at Federal University of Alfenas (UNIFAL-MG), is a research group dedicated to the production of scientific knowledge in the field of Palliative Care, based on Evidence-Based Practice. With a diverse team of researchers and undergraduate and graduate students, we aim to contribute to improving the quality of life and alleviating the physical, psychological, social and spiritual suffering of people affected by serious health-related illnesses, especially those at the end of life, as well as their families and caregivers. Our lines of research are: 1) Symptom management in Hospice and Palliative Care, 2) Palliative Care and health care for caregivers and professionals, and 3) Development of methodological studies in the context of Palliative Care.
