Admission

Undergraduate students can enroll at UNIFAL-MG in three different ways:

Undergraduate Student Agreement Program (PEC-G)

Developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and the Ministry of Education (MEC), in partnership with public (federal and state) and private universities, PEC-G selects foreign students who have completed high school to study in Brazil.

The Undergraduate Student Agreement Program (PEC-G) offers higher education opportunities to citizens of countries with which Brazil has educational and cultural agreements.

Selected foreign students attend undergraduate courses free of charge. In return, they must meet specific criteria, including proving they can cover their expenses in Brazil, having a high school diploma or equivalent, and proficiency in Portuguese.

Entrance Exam

Since 2025, UNIFAL-MG has held its own entrance exam as a means of admission to the University's undergraduate courses.
The entrance exam selection process covers 50% of the annual places offered in undergraduate courses, and the content required follows the high school curriculum components of the National Common Core Curriculum (BNCC).

Unified Selection System (SISU)

Sisu (Unified Selection System) is a Federal Government program that uses the National High School Exam (Enem) scores to select candidates for places at public universities throughout Brazil.
UNIFAL-MG has participated in SISU since 2010. In other words, to enroll at UNIFAL-MG via SISU, students must take the National High School Exam (Enem).

Visiting Professor

Visiting professors are qualified and experienced teachers in research, teaching, and extension, selected to help consolidate the academic structure of Graduate or Extension Programs.
The Federal University of Alfenas offers programs for visiting professors from foreign higher education institutions.
