Melipona (Michmelia) flavolineata, Friese 1900 in front of its nest entrance. The bee is commonly called “ira-açu“ and “uruçu amarela“ – or “ngài-kumrenx“ by the Kayapó. This meliponine species occurs in the Brazilian states Ceará, Maranhão, Pará and Tocantins. Like
