Marcelo Gonçalves Vivas

Graduated in Physics from Federal University of São João del-Rei – UFSJ (2005), Master in Materials Science from Federal University of Itajubá – UNIFEI (2007), and Doctorate in Basic Physics from University of São Paulo – USP (Photonics Group / São Carlos Institute of Physics, 2011). Still in the field of Fotonics, he did a postdoctoral internship with a FAPESP scholarship for 2.5 years. He is currently a professor / researcher (Adjunct II) at the Institute of Science and Technology at Federal University of Alfenas (UNIFAL-MG), Poços de Caldas campus. He is the Coordinator of the joint Master’s in Physics of Federal Universities of Alfenas, Lavras and São Joao del-Rei (2018-2021). In 2016 and 2017 he served as advisor to the Chamber of Exact Sciences and Materials at FAPEMIG. He is also a member of UNIFAL-MG’s Research Chamber. He recently (Jan/2017) started as a professor/researcher in the Graduate Program in Materials Science and Engineering (PPGCEM) at UNIFAL-MG.
