Gael Yves Poirier

Graduated in General Physical-Chemistry – Université de Rennes 1 – France (1998), Master in Chemistry of Solid State and Molecular Inorganics (DEA) – Université de Rennes I – France (1999), PhD in Solid State Chemistry – Université de Rennes I – France (2003) and Doctorate in Inorganic Chemistry from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2003). Conducted a Post-Doctorate at IQ-UNESP-Araraquara from 2003 to 2006, and at Université de Bordeaux between 2017 and 2018, working with glass and glass-ceramics for application in photonics. He is currently an Associate Professor III at the Institute of Science and Technology at Federal University of Alfenas-Poços de Caldas campus, and served as the Institute’s Vice-Director from 2010 to2015. He is an accredited permanent professor in the Graduate Programs in Chemistry at UNIFAL-MG (Alfenas campus) and in the Graduate Program in Materials Science and Engineering (Poços de Caldas campus). Former member of the Chamber of Exact Sciences and Materials at FAPEMIG (2013-2015).
