Research Lines
Biological Diversity and Conservation
Studies on physical and biological aspects (current and past) of natural and anthropic environments. Analysis of biological diversity at the levels of genome, populations, communities, ecosystems and behavior. In addition to generating theoretical knowledge, These studies aim to subsidize the establishment of conservation policies.
Applied Environmental Technologies
Multidisciplinary knowledge related to biotechnology and plant physiology; plant production technologies; environmental bioremediation; biological effect of bioactive principles in vivo and in vitro; management of environmental systems and products, as well as the improvement of tools for characterizing, evaluating and monitoring the toxicity of environmental samples, developing strategies and environmentally adequate solutions for the disposal and waste recycling.
